The Amy Sanders Branch Library is a public library that serves more than 33,000 residents in the city of Sherwood, in Pulaski County, Arkansas. It is an affiliate branch of the Central Arkansas Library System (CALS). In 1975, a merger of the libraries in Little Rock, Jacksonville, Sherwood, and Perryville into a single library system, including the bookmobile services of both the Little Rock Public Library and the Regional Library, was approved by the boards of trustees of both institutions, which prompted the creation of the CALS. In 1989, Amy Sanders Branch Library was opened in response to the escalating demand for library services in the community. It contributes to the city library system's entire resources, which include almost 900,000 books and serial volumes, more than 24,000 e-books, and more than 24,000 audio and more than 83,000 video files. In addition, the library system catered to more than 188,000 registered borrowers, more than 2.8 million items circulated annually, and more than 2.2 million visitors each year.
