The Varina Area Library serves the people living in the City of Henrico and is part of the County of Henrico Public Library. The Library System maintains 705,960 volumes and circulates approximately items per year. Varina Area Library opened its doors in June 2016 and is housed in a 43,885-square-foot building with large areas for children, teens, and adult collections. It provides public computers, a digital media lab, a demonstration kitchen, a drive-up window, an art studio, and rooms for conferences, study, and meetings. Programs available at the library include Book Discussions, Plant Swap, Varina Stitchers, Paper Crafts, Technology Classes, and Songwriting Workshop. It also offers printing and copying services.
