The Blacksburg Library serves about 44,900 residents in the town of Blacksburg and is a branch of the Montgomery-Floyd Regional Library. The library system maintains 216,607 volumes and circulates over 602,000 items per year, including adult fiction, books on CDs, DVDs, eReader devices, WiFi hotspots, videogames, telescopes, ukeleles, and digital materials. In addition to library resources, the Blacksburg Library offers storytime, book discussions, English conversation for adults, and other learning programs in collaboration with the Virginia Workforce Development Office, Virginia Tech School of Visual Arts, Sustainable Blacksburg, Inc., New River Art & Fiber, and the Peer Health Educator.
