The Bassett Historical Center serves 850 residents in the City of Bassett, Henry County. It is a depository of genealogy and local history items for Henry and Patrick Counties and Martinsville City. Its collections include 10,000 family files, 3,008 local history files, 16,088 genealogy books, 995 genealogy files Pilson Collection, 131 personal computer genealogy collections, and the Early African-American co-habitation list. Bassett Historical Center also houses some company resources, including Stanley Newspaper, Bassett Industries, Henry County Plywood, and Bassett Pioneer.
