The South Sumter Branch Library serves 42,757 residents in the City of Sumter and is part of the Sumter County Library. The Library System includes three locations - Downtown Library, Wesmark, South Sumter Branches, and a bookmobile. South Sumter Branch Library is located on Manning Avenue and is open from 10 AM Monday to Friday. It maintains 156,230 volumes and circulates numerous resources, including books, eBooks, audiobooks, periodicals, and DVDs. It also offers computers, computer classes, Summer programs, and other library events and services for all ages.
