The Salkum Timberland Library serves the residents of Salkum City in Lewis County and is a part of the Timberland Regional Library. More than 1.1 million volumes are maintained by the library system, which circulates over 4.5 million items annually. The Salkum Branch was established in 1986 as one of the mini libraries and opened in its current location, a 5,250-square-foot building, in 1993. In addition to Books and Digital Resources, it offers Browsing, Self-checkout, Computer use, Copy/scan/fax, and Window Pick-Up services.
