The Muckleshoot Library serves 85,699 residents in the City of Auburn and is a branch of the King County Library. The Library System maintains 3.6 million volumes on hand and circulates 20.3 million items per year. Muckleshoot Library began in 1968 and opened in its current 6,000-square-foot building in 2008. It has collections of books, DVDs, videos, maps, and archival information on native American history, mythology, religious and cultural customs and norms, cooking, and Whulshootseed Language. It provides a meeting room, computers with printing capability, WiFi, photocopier/scanner/fax machine, book drop services, and various events for all ages.
