The Lorton Library is a branch of the Fairfax County Public Library that serves about 20,900 residents in the census-designated area of Lorton. The library system maintains 2.1 million volumes and circulates approximately 10.1 million items per year. The Lorton Branch has a collection of 30,000 books and provides nine public computers with free Internet stations and Microsoft Office, Wi-Fi access, an expanded children's space, a teen room with a gaming station, a 61-person capacity meeting room, and study rooms. It provides preschool storytime, English conversation classes, and health & wellness programs.
