The Logan Branch Library serves 1.5 million residents in the City of Philadelphia. The library was established in 1917 as a branch of the Free Library of Philadelphia, which maintains 2.8 million volumes and circulates 7.5 million items per year. The Logan Branch is publicly funded and is housed in a Carnegie building beside Wagner Avenue and Old York Road, with facilities such as meeting spaces, study rooms, baby changing stations, electrical outlets, public computers, printers, scanners, a copier, self-service checkout, and WiFi. In addition to library resources and services, it offers daily student meal distribution, nutrition workshops, English classes, and other programs.
