The Bushrod Library serves the residents of Oxford Circle, Castor Gardens, Upper Northwood, Summerdale, and the Lower Northeast neighborhoods in Philadelphia. The library is a branch of the Free Library of Philadelphia, which maintains 2.8 million volumes and circulates 7.5 million items annually. Bushrod Library opened in 1950 and provides a meeting room, a children's area, public computers, tablets for lending, WiFi hotspots, printing and photocopying devices, book drop boxes, and reference services. It also provides Crafts and English classes for beginners and intermediate learners.
