The Fishtown Community Branch Library serves the residents of Fishtown, East Kensington, and Olde Richmond communities in Philadelphia. The library system maintains 2.8 million volumes and circulates 7.5 million items annually. The Library began serving the neighborhood in 1947 as a Community Branch Library and was renamed in 1982. It provides a meeting room, public computers, a book drop box, wireless internet access, and other facilities. It also offers Reference and Printing services, as well as programs like Teen Anime Club, SAGA Club, Gaming, and Summer Reading events.
