The Lamar Branch Library is a part of the Darlington County Library System serving about 850 residents in the Town of Lamar. The library maintains collections of print books, ebooks, audiobooks, magazines, CDs, and videos and contributes to the over 850,000 items circulated by the Library System. Lamar Branch Library opened its doors to the public in October 2003 and operates from 10 AM Monday to Saturday. It provides public computers, WiFi, office services, classes, and a variety of programs for kids, teens, and adults.
