The Lakeview Branch Library, a publicly funded and managed library and an affiliate library of the Madison Public Library (MPL), serves almost 260,000 residents in Madison, which is west of Milwaukee and the capital city of Wisconsin. Today, the Lakeview Branch is only one of the 12 branches—plus a central library—MPL, and the Dream Bus, with a total aggregated visits of more than 2.1 million and more than 163,000 registered borrowers. Additionally, in-person browsing, public computing, self-serve hold, pick-up and check out, online magazines and newspapers, eBooks, and downloadable audiobooks are just some of the services offered.
