The Jordan-Newby Anchor Branch at Broad Creek serves Norfolk City residents and is the Norfolk Public Library's second anchor branch. The library system holds 550,511 volumes and circulates about 823,500 items every year. The Jordan-Newby Library, which is near Richard Bowling Elementary School, has a large conference room, a computer lab, and a children's area featuring a KidZone, Playscape, Art Studio, and Reading Patio. It provides public computers, WiFi access, equipment such as ukeleles, microscopes, and community sketchbooks, as well as a variety of programs and services for all patrons, in addition to books, DVDs, and digital resources.
