The John L. Dart Library is a branch of the Charleston County Public Library, serving 153,672 residents in the City of Charleston. The present library was opened in 1968 and named for the late minister and educator Rev. John L. Dart. It is publicly funded and managed and contributes to the Library System's 756,468 volumes and 1.3 million items in annual circulation. Its collections include books, movies, music, articles, audiobooks, videos, and digital materials. It also offers Google Chromebooks, public computers, WiFi, copying/printing, mobile printing, notary public, and storytime events.
