The Jefferson-Madison Regional Library (JMRL) serves 210,000 residents in the city of Charlottesville, Albermarle County. The library operates a Central Library in downtown Charlottesville, Crozet Library on Library Avenue, Gordon Avenue Library, Greene County Library in Stanardsville, Louisa County Library on Davis Highway Mineral, Nelson Memorial Library on Thomas Nelson Highway, Northside Library on Rio Road West, the Scottsville Library on Bird Street, and a Bookmobile. The library maintains 503,398 volumes and circulates 1.6 million items per year, including regular books, digital collections, and periodicals.
