The Hermitage Branch Library is a publicly funded and managed library that serves more than 500 residents in the city of Hermitage, in Bradley County, Arkansas. It is an affiliate branch of the Southeast Arkansas Regional Library (SEARL). SEARL was founded in 1947 and started with approximately 7,500 books. To make up for the library system's current expansion and fully serve its patrons, the Hermitage Branch Library was opened in 1999. It contributes to the system's overall collection and services, which now total more than 120,000 books and serial volumes, more than 50,000 e-books, more than 1,000 audio files, and more than 3,000 video files. Over 25,000 people have registered as borrowers with the library system, which has nine branches in five counties and circulates more than 130,000 items with more than 220,000 visits each year.
