The Glen Allen Branch Library, part of the Henrico County Public Library, serves approximately 16,200 Glen Allen residents. The library has roughly 595,000 books and serial volumes on hand and circulates 4.6 million items each year, including print and electronic materials. It first opened in 1995 and is presently situated in a 25,000-square-foot structure with a courtyard, a rain-forest-themed children's section, a program room, and a collection of founding fathers. The Glen Allen Branch offers study and conference spaces, storytimes, and a variety of programs for patrons of all ages, in addition to library resources, computers, WiFi, printing, copying, and scanning devices.
