The Fort Valley Community Library serves the people in the Fort Valley area and is affiliated with the Shenandoah County Library. The Library System maintains 142,065 volumes and circulates 239,120 items per year. Fort Valley Community Library opened its doors in May 1998 and has since expanded its collections and services. It has fiction and nonfiction books, reference books, DVD collections, children and young adult resources, local history, and Civil War historical materials. It offers public computers, wireless internet access, and a variety of programs and services for all ages.
