The Dolley Madison Library serves 49,587 residents in the McLean area and is a Fairfax County Library member. The Library System maintains 2.1 million volumes and circulates approximately 10.1 million items annually. Dolley Madison Library holds collections of fiction and nonfiction books, audiobooks, magazines, movies, and digital resources for all ages. Originally opened in 1957, it reopened in its current location in July 2011. It provides meeting rooms, eight Internet stations with Microsoft Office and Internet access, a magnifier, ZoomText, and large print books. Other available programs include ongoing book sales, toddler storytime, English Conversation classes, book clubs, Chinese culture clubs, and tech tutoring.
