The library system maintains 3.6 million volumes and circulates 20.3 million items per year. Founded in 1988, the Des Moines Branch provides books, audiobooks, music, movies, TVs, World language materials, computers, WiFi, printers, copier, meeting spaces, and study rooms. It is housed in a 10,230-square-foot building and offers in-library services and a book drop.
