The Cholla Branch Library is a publicly funded and managed library that serves more than 1.6 million residents in the city of Phoenix in Maricopa, Arizona. It is an affiliate branch of the Phoenix Public Library, which was founded in 1897 and started as a women's Friday Club with 14 women who organized to start a public library. In 1977, in response to the growing need for library services, the Cholla Branch was opened.
