The A. B. Modine Memorial Library, known as the Buena Vista Public Library, serves about 6,600 residents in the City of Buena Vista. The library is a part of the Rockbridge Regional Library System, which maintains over 169,500 volumes and circulates 248,300 items per year. The publicly funded library hosts weekly storytimes, summer reading, STEM programs, and adult events in partnership with Sunny Haven Engagement Community. In addition, it offers Interlibrary loans of print books, books on CDs, DVDs, and microfilm, mobile hotspots, and outreach services.
