The Edisto Branch of the Charleston County Public Library serves about 2,300 residents of Edisto Island in Charleston County. The library is the first branch of the County Library opened in June 1931. As an affiliate of the Charleston County Library, it contributes some quota to the 756,468 volumes on hand and roughly 1.3 million items circulated annually by the Library System. Edisto Branch Library holds collections of books, audiobooks, articles, music, videos, and digital materials. It provides public computers, WiFi, mobile printing, copying/printing services, and Notary services by appointment.
