The West Ashley Branch Library is a part of the Charleston County Public Library, serving 153,672 residents in the City of Charleston. The Library System maintains 756,468 volumes and circulates roughly 1.3 million items each year. This includes books, movies, music, articles, audiobooks, videos, and digital collections. West Ashley Branch Library first opened its doors to the public in April 1964, and it operates for services from 9 AM Monday to Saturday. It has latest library collections, Chromebooks, public computers, and WiFi. It offers black, white, and color copying/printing, mobile printing, notary services, Summer reading, and other numerous programs for all ages.
