The Ware Shoals Branch Library is part of the Greenwood County Library System that serves 1,700 residents of Ware Shoals. The library was founded in 1913 and opened in its present location at the Senior Center in 1999. Ware Shoals Community Library operates as a public library and a high school library with two circulation systems, and it holds collections of 99,000 books and serial volumes, 5,100 audio, 5,200 videos, and 40,200 electronic books. It circulates approximately 189,400 items annually and provides computers, printers, photocopiers, WiFi access, and a wide range of programs for children and adults.
