The South Philadelphia Branch Library is one of the locations of the Free Library of Philadelphia that serves over 1.5 million City residents. The library system maintains 2.8 million volumes and circulates 7.5 million items per year. The publicly funded branch library occupies a 12,000-square-foot building at the Community Health and Literacy Center and provides a range of resources and facilities, including a computer lab, public computers, WiFi, a children's area, study rooms, and meeting spaces, for over 150,000 patrons annually. In addition, it offers computer lessons, English for beginners, Spanish storytime events, and technology services.
