The Hurd/Saint Andrews Regional Library serves 153,672 residents in the City of Charleston and is affiliated with the Charleston County Public Library. The Library System maintains 756,468 volumes on hand and circulates approximately 1.3 million items annually. These include books, articles, audiobooks, magazines, music, movies, and digital collections. Established in June 1992, Saint Andrews Regional Library was renamed in June 2016 in honor of the former manager Cynthia Graham Hurd. It is housed in a 14,000-square-foot building and is open from 9 AM Mondays through Saturdays. Its offerings include public computers, WiFi, mobile printing, copying/printing, a meeting space, notary services by appointment, and various programs for all ages.
