The Pottsville Free Public Library serves 62,118 residents in the city of Pottsville and Schuylkill County. It is the District Center for the 14 public libraries in Schuylkill County and the three public libraries in Northumberland County. The library maintains a collection of 93,376 volumes and circulates approximately 78,950 items annually, including large print books, books on CD, graphic novels/manga, and DVDs. It offers meeting room reservation, reference services, computer basics workshop, teen gaming, summer quest, storytime, and other library events and services.
