The Otranto Road Regional Library is part of the Charleston County Public Library and serves 118,608 residents in the City of North Charleston. As an affiliate of the Charleston County Public Library, the library maintains collections of print and electronic resources and contributes to the 756,468 volumes on hand and roughly 1.3 million items circulated annually. Otranto Road Regional Library is a 14,000-square-foot library opened in March 1992. It provides spaces for kids and teens, a small conference room, a public auditorium, public computers, copying/printing, and notary services.
