The Nelson County Public Library, established in 1946, serves over 43,000 residents of Nelson County through three locations and a Bookmobile. It includes the Main Library in Bardstown and two branches in Bloomfield and New Haven. The library system maintains about 95,000 volumes and circulates approximately 374,000 items per year. It provides wireless internet access, rooms available for reservations, laptops, book club kits, health & wellness programs, storytime, and other library events and services.
