The McPherson Square Branch Library is part of the Free Library of Philadelphia that serves the people living in Kensington, McPherson Square, and K & A neighborhoods of Philadelphia. The library system maintains 2.8 million volumes and circulates 7.5 million items per year. The McPherson Square Branch was established in 1898 and is housed in a Carnegie Building close to the Allegheny El station with computers, wireless internet, photocopying, and printing facilities. It offers reference services, a book drop, and CADE kids events.
