The Lower Mills Branch Library serves about 134,000 residents who live in the Dorchester Neighborhood in Suffolk County. The library maintains about 8.2 million books and serial volumes and circulates more than 3.7 million items annually, including digitized special collections. It has computers, WiFi, reservable community spaces, and the World language collections in Chinese, French, Spanish and Vietnamese, and provides Storytime, Game Night, Lego Club, and Science from Scientists programs for children in addition to printing, copying, and scanning services. The library is open from Monday to Saturday and allows after-hours book returns.
