The East Springfield Branch serves about 154,000 residents of Springfield City in Hampden County. The library was established in 1932 and now holds 562,130 books and serial volumes, with about 654,000 items in annual circulation. The library houses six computers with earbuds and offers fax, scanning, and mobile printing services in addition to a variety of activities for adults, teens, and kids such as Book Club, Reading Challenge, Crafts, and 1000 Books Before Kindergarten.
