The Honan-Allston Branch Library provides services to those who live in Suffolk County's Allston neighborhood. The library, a branch of the Boston Public Library, opened its doors to the public in 1924 and was renamed in 2003 in memory of the late City Councilor Brian Honan. The library system's collection totals more than 8.9 million books, with more than 3.6 million items circulated annually. In addition to toddler storytimes and English for Speakers of Other Languages classes for all patrons, the branch also provides public computers, WiFi, document printing, and scanning services.
