The Cuyahoga County Public Library (CCPL) serves more than six hundred thousand residents in Parma. The library maintains 1.7 million volumes and circulates 20.6 million items per year. Founded in 1922 and named the number one public library in the United States by Hennen’s American Public Library Rating in 2010, CCPL has 27 branches serving 47 communities in Cuyahoga County, Ohio. The latest branch was opened in April of 2022 and features a rooftop terrace overlooking the view of Lake Erie and an Innovation Center where access to 3D printing and a variety of other technologies is accessible for visitors. CPPL is governed by a seven-member Board of Trustees to serve a seven-year term authorized by the State of Ohio to establish policies and an annual budget.
