The Electra C. Doren Branch Library serves the residents living in the Dayton area of Montgomery County. The library, named after the innovative librarian Miss Doren, was established in 1928 and is the oldest in the Dayton Metro Library System. The library books, music, and movie collections span many fields to serve patrons of all age groups. After the re-dedication in 2015, the Library now has a 16-capacity community room, children's area with early literacy computer tablets, comfortable seating Teen Edge, an adult area, and an outdoor reading area.
