The Codman Square Branch Library serves the residents who live in the Dorchester neighborhood within Suffolk County. The library, a division of the Boston Public Library, is publicly funded and managed and maintains collections of books, audiobooks, eBooks, movies, newspapers, and the World language collections in French, Haitian-Creole, Portuguese, Spanish, and Vietnamese. It opened to the public in its present location in 1978 and provides community rooms, computers, laptops, WiFi, and printing services.
