The Beachwood Branch Library serves almost 14,000 residents in the city of Beachwood, a suburb of Cleveland in Cuyahoga County, Ohio. As an affiliate library of the Cuyahoga County Public Library (CCPL), Beachwood Branch is one of the 27 branches that contributes to the overall collection and services of the county library, which include almost 19.5 million total circulations, almost 1.6 million book and serial volumes, a little more than 350,000 eBooks, almost 296,000 audio files, and more than 510,000 video files. Founded in 1922, CPPL aims to empower individuals and communities by providing opportunities for all to read, learn, create, and connect. On October 31, 1982, the Beachwood Branch first made itself available to the public. It was the first CCPL branch to feature an automated circulation system during the time. The branch, which is a short distance from the Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage, features a drive-up window where patrons can pick up requested materials, areas specifically designed for children and teenagers, and a lovely outdoor reading garden.
