The Margaret Dombrosky Swedesboro Public Library serves 2,744 residents in the City of Swedesboro. The library was founded in 1783 and is one of the oldest public libraries in New Jersey, previously housed in the Borough Hall. It was incorporated in 1937 and joined the Gloucester County Library System in 2005. The Swedesboro Public Library contributes resources to the library system's yearly circulation of 572,892 items and 205,930 volumes on hand. It provides books, magazines, CDs, audiobooks, Playaways, videos, public computers, internet access, fax service, free notary, interlibrary loans, adult book discussions, storytimes, and other programs for children, tween, teens, and adults.
