The Jackson Branch Library serves 58,544 residents in Jackson Township and is part of the Ocean County Library. The Library System maintains 1.3 million volumes and circulates 4.6 million items per year, including print books, eBooks, audiobooks, magazines, music, DVDs, video games, and local history materials. Jackson Branch Library was founded in 1978 and opened in its current location in November 2001. It occupies a 24,000-square-foot building with a 90-seat meeting room, a 12-station technology lab, a café, a children's story/craft room, and a quiet study room. It holds a collection of 109,855 books, checks out 374,899 items, and offers a variety of programs for all ages.
