The Woodlawn Branch Library is a division of the Birmingham Public Library that serves over 197,000 residents of Birmingham City. The library opened its doors in 1905 and became the first branch of the City library in 1911. Each year, more than 754,000 volumes are maintained by the library system, which circulates approximately 874,600 items annually, including books, magazines, music, and movies, and offers a range of programs and services for all ages.
