The Mildred B. Harrison Regional Library is the administrative headquarters of the Public Libraries of Shelby County, a fourteen-member library system serving the residents of Shelby County, Alabama. Located in the city of Columbiana, the Harrison Regional Library organizes the efforts of the other member libraries by coordinating databases, interlibrary loans, reference services, grant writing, and distribution of state aid funds. The library system maintains 9,600 volumes in collections and circulates 14,790 items annually.
