The Henagar Public Library serves more than 2,000 residents of the city of Henagar in DeKalb County, Alabama. It is one of the branch libraries under the DeKalb County Public Library (DCPL), which started in a home, was then supported by the women's club, and eventually became a library open to the public for free. With more than 800,000 books and serial volumes, more than 37,000 CDs, more than 45,000 DVDs, and more than 82,000 eBooks and audiobooks available for download, Henagar Public Library now contributes to the county library system's overall collection and services. The total county library system contains various sites, more than 150,000 registered users, nearly 1.9 million items circulated annually, and almost 120,000 visits per year.
