The Wesmark Library serves 42,757 residents in the City of Sumter and is a Sumter County Library branch. The Library System operates Downtown Main Library, Wesmark and South Sumter Branches, and a Bookmobile. Wesmark Library maintains 46,000 volumes contributing to the Library System's 187,759 titles and over 235,700 items in circulation annually. These items include books, audiobooks, periodicals, DVDs, and digital collections. It also offers Movie Time on the second Friday of every month, Book Discussions, Storytime, and Games.
