The Upper Shores Library serves 1,821 residents in the City of Lavallette and is an Ocean County Library member. The Library System maintains 1.3 million volumes and circulates approximately 4.6 million items annually, including print books, eBooks, audiobooks, magazines, music, DVDs, videogames, and local history resources. Upper Shores Library opened its doors in December 1995 and now operates Monday to Saturday. It checks out over 103,000 materials in a fiscal year and offers a variety of programs for all ages.
