The Pike County Public Library District serves about 64,900 residents of Pikeville and Pike County, Kentucky. The library system opened its doors in 1979 and provides library services through its five branch locations in Pikeville, Phelps, Virgie, Belfry, and Elkhorn City. It maintains a collection of 189,532 volumes and circulates approximately 292,200 items per year. The library offers WiFi, meeting spaces, study rooms at Lee Avenue and Downtown branches, 3D printing, lamination, scanning, faxing, notary public, technology training, story trail, STEM learning, and other programs and services for all patrons.
