The Gates Mills Branch Library is a publicly funded and managed library that serves more than 2200 residents in the city of Gates Mills in Cuyahoga County, Ohio. As an affiliate library of the Cuyahoga County Public Library, it contributes to the overall collection and services of the county library, which include almost 19.5 million total circulation, almost 1.6 million book and serial volumes, a little more than 350,000 eBooks, almost 296,000 audio and more than 510,000 video. The Gates Mill Branch was officially opened and became part of the system in 1948. The Southwick House, a former home turned historic landmark, served as the branch's base of operations before. The branch's present home is a 3,500 square foot structure that serves as the focal point of the downtown regeneration of Gates Mills. Today, the county has a total of 7.9 million and almost 1 million registered borrowers.
