The Briggs Lawrence County Library serves 62,450 residents of Ironton and Lawrence County, Ohio. The library comprises five library locations in Ironton, Chesapeake, Proctorville,  South Point, and Symmes Valley Elementary School. It maintains 204,477 volumes and circulates 499,428 items per year. It also has extensive genealogy collections, including births, deaths, obituaries, marriages, Ironton newspapers, census records, First Family and Civil War Family books, and history and photographs. Programs available to the public include storytime, toddler time, yoga for all, teen crafting, anime club, and bingo.
