The Belmont Branch Library serves about 15,350 residents in the City of Belmont and is part of the Gaston County Public Library. The Library System operates 10 locations - the Main Library and Belmont, BC at BC Makerspace, Cherryville, Dallas, Ferguson, Mt. Holly, Stanley, Lowell, and Union Road Branches. It maintains 512,780 volumes and circulates over 1.1 million items annually, including large print books, audiobooks, CDs, DVDs, career guides, local history and genealogy, newspapers, and digital collections of different genres. Some featured programs at the Belmont Branch include Toddler Time, Preschool Storytime, and Homeschool Meetup.
